The Tolland Public Library Foundation has postponed its seventh annual teen poetry slam from Thursday, April 5 to Thursday, May 10 to give poets more time to enter.
A minimum of five poets are needed for the event to be held and not enough students had signed up in order to hold the slam this week.
The slam will now be held on May 10 at 6:30 p.m. at the Tolland Public Library at 21 Tolland Green.
The event is open to middle and high school students aged 12 to 18 from Tolland and surrounding towns. For details and entry forms, visit the library or see below on this webpage.
Completed forms are due Monday, May 7 and can be dropped off at the town library, the Tolland Middle School and Tolland High School libraries, with any Tolland High English teacher or they can be emailed to Foundation Secretary Kate Farrish at [email protected].
